Don't Blink

So, I have filled about 7+ bags worth since my previous post.
(I will get more in depth with the filling of bags/purging in a future blog.)
1. Box of empty boxes (how about that one!)
2. Bag of miscellaneous home items
3. Purses
4. clothes
5. Decor
6. kitchen items
7. Decor from son's room

Decor from son's room?
Typing that hit a cord.

I am new to all of these changes happening.  It's always been my friends'/family's kids that graduated, moved out, or got married. What fun it has been to celebrate these events over the years! Just seemed like something so far down the road for me.

2 weeks from today we officially welcome a new family member.  Our oldest son is getting married.
We are thrilled for them.  It's so exciting.  We love them.

Weird how something so wonderful can also be scary. It can drum up some strange, different emotions.  Like unfamiliar waters. I am thankful for the wisdom of the women I have visited with that know exactly what I am talking about. It warms my heart to connect on this level. Each one of us; the bride, groom, brother, sister, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa are all affected. So cool we have each other.

Have you heard the song by Kenny Chesney, "Don't Blink"?  The video is quite something.
Life goes like a bullet.
Slow down, take it in.
Give love and respect.
Take every breath God gives you for what it's worth.

In the days and weeks ahead, I pray for us all to slow down and take in life.
Enjoy each other, expect the unexpected, hug, talk, and pray together.

Don't blink. Life goes faster than you think.

God is good!
Amy
